This dashboard focuses on real time visibility of the data of Human Resource department of an organization.
With this dashboard, we can view various human resource statistics that automatically get updated like headcount, payroll summary, salary distribution, employee information, performance score by department& sick days per department.
There are several ways in which you can visualize HR data to understand the objectives. In October, Excel Forum team launched a dashboard, competing in which you are asked to visualize data using sample data. The challenge has generated a huge thrill around the community and fetched 118 incredible entries.

We have divided this dashboard into 6 sections of information. Let us take a look at each one separately.
This section will cover employee count by department.
From the above chart, HR can do future planning in terms of hiring if it is required or not in any department. As we can see, the highest head count is of IT department where 15 employees are working while Customer Support department count is 5.
This section shows payroll summary department.
From the above chart, we can easily track the salary, overtime & bonus of the employees.
The following picture will show performance score by department.
The following picture will show the employee count by salary range. This graph can be used to find the maximum & minimum salaried employees. We can do lots of analysis on this chart depending on the policies of the organization. With this chart, if the management sees there is a large group of employees who fall in the bottom section then they can bring out an incentive policy.
This section provides flexibility to the end user to select an employee from a list & all the employee related information like department, salary, bonus, overtime, start date, sick days & performance score can be viewed with a single click.
The below chart shows sick days per department.
Using this dashboard we can get a clear view of the Human Resource and thus we can get the information from various points of view.
