  1. Thanks for the user manual; a great read and very helpful. For what it's worth I just thought the title, spelling and grammar within should be proof read. The command is Advanced Filter (Advance with a "d" at the end) Thanks again.

Thank you very much to provide such a filtering processing system and this is helpful for me and my colleagues.

    With best regards.

  3. Functions like vlookup doesn't work if you open two instances of Excel. Is there anyone who knows you to open two Excel files on different monitors and still have functions like vlookup working?

  4. Try this... This will allow a single instance of Excel to display two (or more) files simultaneously. With good size screens you could comfortably open 4 files in a square pattern.
    open ONE instance of Excel
use the restore button (button next to the "X" to close a window) to allow sizing of the Excel window,
    stretch to fit both monitors,
open both of your spreadsheet files,
use THEIR restore button(s) to size to whatever orientation you wish.
This will allow you to orient the two (or more) files either vertically or horizontally.

In my experience it depends on the version of Excel, if you are using version 2010 or earlier you need to have an additional version of Excel running and then open/drag the file to there. If you have a later version it is simply a case of dragging the open window over to the other screen (worth upgrading for this in my opinion)

  6. Open 2 instances of Excel from the Start Menu then move one to the new window.
Trying to open 2 sheets in one instance will not work.

  7. Once I have a first Excel file open, I simply open a new instance of Excel from the Start Menu. It seems to work with my current (default?) settings in Excel 2010.

  8. I work with two monitors to view different files.

I would like to have two different excel files open on two monitors. What setting must be changed to get that. I had tried some other options in earlier versions of excel but I am using excel 2007.
