Correct a #N/A Error in Excel 2010

In this article, we will learn how to correct a #n/a error.

The possible reasons are following:

  • The column is not spacious enough to display the content.
  • Dates and times are negative numbers.

We can increase the width of the column to fit the text by following the below mentioned steps:

  • Click on Home ribbon
  • In Cells group, click on Format.
  • In Cell Size, click AutoFit Column Width.

  • You can see cell A1 contains date as 8/23/2014

Let’s say we have a text (Today’s date is 8/23/2014) in a cell which we want to view at a glance even if the size of text decreases. In this scenario, we do not want to use Wrap Text feature. You can see the text in cell A1 is coming out of the cell.
