How to use ROW function in Microsoft Excel

In this article, we will learn how to use ROW function in Microsoft Excel.

In Microsoft Excel, ROW function is used to get the row number for a cell reference or a range.

ROW function takes only one argument and that is “reference”. It returns the row number for the given cell reference. And, if the cell reference is omitted, function will return the row number of the cell address, in which the ROW function has been entered. Also, remember ROW function cannot include the multiple references or addresses.
