Quickly Entering Text into Cells from a List of Previous Entries or a Validation List

To select from a list of previous text entries or from a Validation list:

• Select the empty cell under the last filled cell.
• Press Shift+F10 or right-click and then select Pick from Drop-down List from the shortcut menu.
OR
Press Alt+ Down Arrow.

  1. Hi Vikram, I don't think you can directly (happy for someone to prove me wrong on that though!) .However, you could create a new range, or defined name, that only contains the unique entries from the 'master' range once each and use that in the data validation reference. Hope that helps. Alan

  2. When I fill a Range in a column and go to the empty cell below the entires and Right Click and GoTo Pick From List, I receive a Blank Drop Down Cell. I have been trying to use this Fuction for some time with no luck yet.
