Copying A Series From One Chart To Another In Microsoft Excel

There are times when you want to create a chart from another chart without taking much time. In this article, we will learn how to copy a series from one chart to another in Microsoft Excel 2010.

 

Let us understand with an example:

  • Column A contains Date field, column B contains Sales

  • Create a Chart from the above data using "ALT + F1" shortcut key

To copy one data series from one chart to another, follow the below mentioned steps:

  • Select the series on the first chart
  • Click in the formula bar, select and copy the series formula

  • Create a new chart & click on the edge of the second chart to select the chart

  • Click in the formula bar and paste

  • Press Enter

Copying the series from one chart to another will help you in creating similar charts instantly.
