“Tearing Off” Paletts from Toolbars

To “tear off” formatting palettes:

1. From the Formatting toolbar, open the Fill Color icon palette.
2. Drag the palette to any place on the sheet to make it float.

To “tear off” drawing palettes:

1. From the Drawing toolbar, select AutoShapes, and then select Stars and Banners.
2. Drag the palette to any place on the sheet to make it float.

    Is this possible in MS 2013? I can’t seem to “select” the palette in order to drag it.

    I assume the “formatting toolbar ” is the same as the “ribbon”?
