To show/hide subtotals of a PivotTable report:Select PivotTable Tools Ribbon-> Design tab -> Subtotals (in Layout Group).

To Select the Subtotal function(s):
1. Drag at least two fields to the Row Labels.
2. Select a cell in the first Row Label field, right click and select Field Settings -> Subtotals & Filters tab.
Under Subtotals section in Field Settings dialog box there are three option buttons:
Automatic: Excel uses the SUM formula as default when inserting subtotals.
Custom: Select this option to insert one or more functions.
None: Displays the PivotTable report without subtotals.
