» Problem: Unnecessary Empty Characters in Cells

To remove empty characters, use the Trim function. The Trim function is in the Text category in the Insert Function dialog box.
To insert the Trim function:
1. Select a cell and type:
=Trim
2. Press Ctrl+A to open the Function Arguments dialog box.
