To find, find and replace all sheets in the workbook:
1. From the sheet tab's shortcut menu, select Select All Sheets.
2. Press Ctrl+F to find or Ctrl+H to find and replace. (Note: Ctrl+F works only for a single sheet in Excel 97). In Excel 2002 and 2003, choose Sheet or Workbook from the Within dropdown list (see the screenshot below).
To find/find and replace special characters & formats:
Using wild cards in the text search:
Use * as a wild card for any number of characters, either before or after text, for example, searching for *CO will find both Cisco and Telco.
Use ? as a wild card for a single character, for example, searching for R?N will find Ron and Ran but not Rain.
To search for an asterisk, enter ~* in the search box.
In Excel 2002 & Excel 2003, use the Find/Find and Replace based on Format (see screenshot below).

Be extremely sure to deselect all sheets before entering any data.
Any entry will be duplicated on all sheets selected.
How about this????????????????????????????
DC Posted on: 31-12-1969
Well, Is it possible to create a search box in one of the sheets, which let the user enter a keyword to search within the workbook (entire workbook / all sheets) and if there is a match, it will take the user to the matched cell, if not, then it will display some message. I think this is possible but i do not know how..
advantage of this would be working multi-version search box, which benifits us all.

You can select all sheet by right click on the sheet tab
which is at the bottom of the screen, and select "Select All" or something like that, this was on Excel 97 machine so I am pretty sure you have that too. If this dont work, try go to edit menu? My friend has Office 97 and his excel has this function, yours will have one too I am sure.
