» Filtering by Data Type in Excel 2007

When filtering the List, Filter recognizes the type of data in each field:
such as text, date or a numeric number.

The sub-menu filters is changed according to the data type.
Example: filtering by date field.

To filter by date:

1. Open the Filter dropdown list in Date field.
2. Point the cursor to Date Filters to open the sub-menu for Date Filters.
