Charts are linked to data, and, consequently, any change to the format of numbers in the data table will lead to a corresponding change in how the numbers are displayed in the chart.- Select the data in a data table and press Ctrl+1.
- In the Format Cells dialog box, select the Number tab.
- In the Category box, select Custom.
- In the Type box, type #,##0 to display a number rounded to the nearest thousand.
