I agree with Louis this is useless information. Can not get the function to place the proper text into the cell. I only receive the formula in the new cell.
Convert text to lower case

It DOES work, but only one cell at a time. Start by clicking in a blank cell. Follow instructions as above. Once you have the converted information in the formerly blank cell, you can copy the new info and use "paste values" to paste it in the cell you want. That will eliminate the formula showing up in the formula bar.
