» Adding the Subtotals Icon to the Menu Bar

To add the Subtotals icon to the Excel Menu bar:

1. Place the mouse over one of the toolbars, right click, and select Customize from the shortcut menu.
2. Select the Commands tab.
3. From Data, drag the Subtotals icon to the Menu bar, and then click Close.

Using keyboard shortcuts

After the Subtotals icon has been added to the Menu bar, press Alt+b to open the Subtotals dialog box.
