A Smart Tag is a pop-up menu that allows access to more commands that are relevant to the current task.
To hide Smart Tags:
1. Select File -> Excel Options
-> Proofing -> AutoCorrect Options -> Smart Tags tab.
2. From Show smart tags as dropdown list, select None.
