Problem:We want to count the number of values in row 1 that are greater than the criteria specified in cell A4, but only for every 3rd cell in the range.
Solution:
Use the SUMPRODUCT, MOD, and COLUMN functions as shown in the following formula:
=SUMPRODUCT(--(MOD(COLUMN($A$1:$J$1)-COLUMN($A$1)+1,3)=0)*($A$1:$J$1>$A$4))
