Changing the Cell Formatting from Date to Number


Using keyboard shortcuts

To change the cell formatting from date to number:
• Press Ctrl+Shift+~.

Example:

1. Enter today's date into a cell by pressing Ctrl+;. The result is 3/10/2004.
2. Press Ctrl+Shift+~ to change the format to General formatting.
