Creating Subtotals Summary in Excel 2007
To create subtotals summary:
1. Sort the field for which you want to have subtotal summary. In this example, sort the List by Customer Name.
2. Select Data -> Subtotal (in Outline Group).
3. From At each change in dropdown list select Customer Name.
4. In Add subtotal to select the data fields Quantity and Sales.
5. Click OK.
