Unnecessary Blank Characters in Cells in Excel 2007


To remove blank characters, use the Trim function. The Trim function is in the Text category in the Insert Function dialog box.

To insert the Trim function:

1. Select a cell and type: =Trim
2. Press Ctrl+A to open the Function Arguments dialog box.
3. Select the first cell in an adjacent column, copy/paste the formula to as many cells in the column as needed.
4. Copy the column and paste it as values.
