Canceling the Update Links Message While Opening a Linked Workbook in Excel 2007


To cancel the Update Links message while opening a linked workbook:

1. Select File -> Excel Options -> Trust Center -> Trust Center Settings button in Microsoft Office Excel Trust Center section.
2. In External Content check Disable automatic update of Workbook links radio button.



To cancel the displaying of the alert of automatic updating links for a workbook on startup:

1. Select Data -> Edit Links to Files (in Manage Connections Group).
2. In Edit Links dialog box click Startup Prompt button.
3. Check Dont display the alert and update links radio button.
