Copy visible cells only


In Excel, when we copy anything it copies both hidden and visible cells. In this article, we’ll learn how to copy visible cells only.

Let’s take an example and understand:

We have data with few hidden rows. Now we want to copy visible data in the next sheet.

In the above image, rows are hidden between 8 and 16. As shown in the image below, copy the data and paste it in another sheet.

To copy only visible cells, follow below given steps:

  • Select the range A4:D17
  • Press Ctrl+G on your keyboard, Go to dialog will appear

  • Click on Visible cells only and click OK

  • Excel selects visible cells only
  • Press Ctrl+C to copy the range and paste in 2nd sheet

In this way we can copy visible cells only from one sheet to another sheet.
