GANTT CHART - sort of?

Can someone help me to put this together, please?

I have a long list of names which make up a workforce, a list of many
contracts and the dates (to and from) when individuals from the
workforce will work on these contracts. Some individuals will stay on
one contract for the duration, others will work at various times on some
of the contracts.

I am trying to create a spreadsheet which will show the names of the
workforce on the left and, on the right, a Gantt chart effect spanning
five years where the contracts are colour coded and  a visual
representation is created of the deployment of the workforce.

As more names will be added to the list, it would be great if the code
could be dynamic, and a button to run it?

I believe that Conditional Formatting is no good as there are not enough
conditions and would not show one person working on several contracts.
So I am assuming it would have to be a VBA code using IF ELSE ???? My
knowledge in this area is very limited so I'm hoping that one of the
experts will have a few minutes to spare to put something together for
me.
