Re: Office Survey: Which version do you use?
LOL!
I had a user take one of our online Excel courses, then email us saying they were "having problems"
with our Workbook examples. I asked if they could give me some details on the problems, to which
they replied "they were unable to open them" after downloading. After another 2 or 3 emails back and
forth, it turned out they didn't have Microsoft Office OR Excel installed. We gave them a refund!
Kind Regards

You may be running at the cutting edge in Oz Dave, but here in the UK we are
a bit slower to embrace new technology. Earlier this year I was asked if I
was available to train an "Introduction to Windows 3.11" course for a
government organisation in London. I guess they were waiting for Microsoft
to iron the bugs out of Windows 95 before they committed themselves. They
pulled out before the course, so I presume the yard sale raised enough cash
for them to upgrade. The same organisation was still using Internet Explorer
3 until recently. Their (outsourced) IT support people reckoned that IE6 did
not offer sufficient security!

Subject: Office Survey: Which version do you use?
As a writer, trainer and developer I am interested in how many people use
the various different versions of Microsoft Office (or how long can I
continue to make a living out of VBA!). I come across a lot of people still
using Office 97, and the uptake of Office XP seems quite high, but that's
only my impression. I can't find a survey on the web so I'm conducting my
own. If you would like to participate you can do so on my homepage at
http://www.fontstuff.com where I will publish the results as soon I have a
meaningful number of votes.
Please don't send your votes to the list!
I just want to know which version you use. If you have more than one (I
currently run three!) which do you use most (it might not necessarily be
yout favourite)? If you use one version at home and another at work, vote
for them both.
I have cross-posted this to the Access-L, Excel-L, Excel-G and WORD-PC lists
so I apologise to those of you who have received multiple copies!
Thanks
Martin
