Nice use of the wildcard Shane, and in a "ordinary" formula as well
Just one point - I believe that your formula works only if the string you are searching for is in the first (or left most characters) of the range being searched - so I modified it to
=COUNTIF(A200:BZ200,"*"&A1&"*")
- but all credit must go to you, and I didn't make it totally clear that there may be other charates in front of the chicks or photo example I gave you
