Paradigm ChallengingMs. Coulter's newest book may not be literary genius. It is still Great. I consider a book "great" when it permanently changes the way you look at the world by the time you have finished it. 'The Killer Angels' was one such for me, changing forever the way I understood the Civil War, contemporary American culture, and race relations. 'Treason' has similarly shocked my worldview about the last 100 years of American history. Coulter lays out the following argument: the Democratic party as an institution and Liberals as a group are defending and protecting enemy Islamic Fascists the same way they protected Stalin, Hitler and other fascist groups in the last 100 years. She draws comparisons between how the Dems/Libs protected communist sleeper cells in the '50s to how they are protecting muslim sleepers now. She demonstrates how the same smear job used to demonize Joe McCarthy is now being used against John Ashcroft, suggesting that in 50 years Ashcroft's name will also be used as a liberal curse word. It is all written in Coulter's rather shocking, sarcastic style, which caused me to laugh out loud throughout the read (in between shaking my head in anger). Love it or hate it, this book will challenge everything you thought you knew about recent American history.
Thank your Ms. Coulter!Wow...I finished this last night. There is really nothing I can say. This is absolutely DEVASTATING to the left. The liberal/socialist agenda is exposed here...spread out for all to see. This is the last thing the left wants to happen. They must run their candidates as moderates to be elected--only to push a hardcore anti-American agenda once they gain power.
As you read this book, your long time suspicions will be confirmed...and contrary to what the leftists say, they do NOT love America...They are NOT patriots. In fact, they loathe the idea of American success...They are disgusted that at the sight of American dominance. This repulses them. The hard left gags at the sight of the American flag, and has taken an instinctive stance against every action this country has taken to promote freedom in the world. They use the liberties bought with American blood to fight against their own nation.
Ann Coulter clearly shows how the left wing in America has stood united with our enemies time and time again throughout history. The left absolutely despised the anti-communist movement. They accept the 90 million+ people killed by communism over the past century...not because they liked the fact people were dying, but because people like Joseph Stalin were standing firmly AGAINST the United States, and anyone who has stands against America earns a warm spot in the heart of today's leftists.
Every argument democrats throw up is handily dismantled by Coulter in this new book. It completely obliterates any hope they once had of rewriting our history. Buy this book. Read it cover to cover...and pass it along. You will finally know the truth about the left...what they have been trying to hide about themselves for the past 50 years, and it isn't a pretty sight.
Sad, mean, pitiful
Well, no one would ever accuse Coulter of being a great prose writer. The language in this book certainly comes from someone trained as a lawyer - it's not prose designed to be read, but designed to be spat out in a harangue.
Indeed, why is it that conservatives spit out the word "liberal" as if it was some foul epithet? Why is it that conservatives stand for Christian beliefs but rarely practice mercy and compassion, understanding and empathy, prefer to cast stones everywhere they can and never turn the other cheek?
Yep, Coulter and others play the same game: they would prefer to play the part of Ebenezer Scrooge and believe any other consideration is worth nothing less than "Bah! Humbug". Can I suggest that Coulter spend less time writing columns and books, boosting her public profile by using self-aggrandising attack as some sort of platform for her "It's Everyone Else's Fault" beliefs, and less time playing the blame game... and perhaps a little more time contributing something positive to this world.
As an author, Coulter makes a fine lawyer.
